This is a beloved recipe from my husband's side of the family. In fact, it's such a favorite that this past year, one of the aunts had the recipe printed on tea towels so that everyone in the family can have it on-hand and ready-to-go in their kitchens!

Grandma Char's Rhubarb Cake
Prep Time: 15-20 min.
Bake Time: 45 min.

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sour milk or buttermilk
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups finely chopped rhubarb
- Save to add on top - 1/2 cup sugar & 1 teaspoon cinnamon mixture
Directions:
- Mix in order listed, reserving a little flour to mix with rhubarb.
- Spread in a greased 9x13" pan.
- Sprinkle cinnamon & sugar mixture on top.
- Bake at 350-degrees for approximately 45 minutes.
- Serve with whipping cream.
