  1. Trichomes

Tiny, crystal-like structures found on the surface of cannabis buds. Trichomes contain cannabinoids, terpenes, and other compounds. Check out this beautiful photo of trichomes on a Strawberry Cough plant!

  2. Dosing

The process of determining and managing the amount of cannabis consumed in order to achieve a desired effect, while minimizing potential negative reactions.

  3. Cannabinoids

Chemical compounds found in cannabis, such as THC and CBD. Cannabinoids interact with the body's endocannabinoid system to produce a variety of effects.

  4. Tolerance

The body's lowered response to the effects of cannabis over time due to regular use. Sometimes, this results in needing a higher dose in order to achieve the same effect.

  5. Extraction Methods

Techniques used to separate cannabinoids and other beneficial compounds from the cannabis plant, such as solvent-based extraction or CO2 extraction.

  6. Decarboxylation

The process of heating cannabis in order to activate cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD. Decarboxylation removes a carboxyl group from their chemical structure.

  7. Vaporization

A method of cannabis use that heats the plant material or concentrates to a temperature that releases cannabinoids and terpenes as vapor. This vapor can then be inhaled.

  8. Tinctures

Liquid cannabis extracts often made by soaking cannabis in alcohol or glycerin. Tinctures are usually put under the tongue, or they can be added to food or drinks.

  9. Topicals

Cannabis-infused products, such as creams and lotions, which are applied to the skin for localized relief from pain, inflammation, and other conditions.

  10. Cultivation Methods

Different approaches to growing cannabis plants, including indoor, outdoor, and greenhouse growing. Each method comes with its own strengths and challenges.
